Bill Irwin is a clown for our time, a satirical artist who observes (and tries to survive) the world he knows and loves with pratfalls, witty word play, doubletakes and hat tricks. Irwin's inventive physicality, having evolved from a diverse background that includes Ringling Brothers Circus, Oberlin Dance Collective and theater studies at UCLA, gives his work a special edge of hilarity.

The Regard Of Flight, created and performed by Bill Irwin in collaboration with composer-pianist-ventriloquist Doug Skinner and actor Michael O'Connor, is a comedic tour-de force with seemingly traditional vaudeville characters (The Clown, The Stooge and The Second Banana) who veer wildly into a world of bottomless boxes, gravity-defying shoes, and an unseen force which frequently threatens to suck Mr. Irwin off-stage.
